The Right Stuff

The No on the Amendment campaign and Campaign Manager, Mike Tate are on the front page of this month’s Queer Life News. The article begs the question, "Is Tate The Right Stuff?"

I think so.

Scratch that. I know so.

Before hiring Mike, I was confident enough to say that we could defeat the amendment. But since his energy, exuberance, exceedingly strong work ethic, and political prowess have entered the campaign, I've changed my rhetoric. We will defeat the amendment.

Here’s why:
Tate is wholeheartedly convinced Wisconsin voters will beat this amendment. “LGBT families are in every community. We are staffed and prepared to get out and talk to voters in every nook and cranny in the state. Wisconsin has a history of fair and independent voters. I believe once voters understand the impact of this amendment on real families in their communities and once they hear about the far-reaching consequences of this amendment, we are going to win.”
We have 277 days until the vote. And already we boast a talented and dedicated staff in Milwaukee and Madison, the support of thousands of volunteers statewide, and more and more people speaking out against the amendment every day.

Yes, it was taken at the Milwaukee Center Advocates' office.

Unfortunately, they weren't mentioned in the article. They're doing amazing work in Milwaukee, and the Center is certainly an integral part of this campaign.
