Fair Wisconsin's Action Networks

Throughout the state—from Janesville to Superior, from River Falls to Manitowoc—Fair Wisconsin is assembling Action Networks of people opposed to the ban on civil unions and marriage. Each Action Network is comprised of a host of community members from diverse backgrounds: gay and non-gay, religious leaders, parents and friends of gay people, doctors, service workers, attorneys, hard laborers, local elected officials, teachers, and more.

Action Networks are the intersections of each community’s efforts to stop the ban. Each individual is outspoken in their own way within their life—whether it’s having conversations with their banker and grocery bagger, or inviting friends, family, neighbors, and fellow congregants to a house party or a Coffee Hour discussion about the ban.

Action Networks are also the intersections of a deliberate and systematic effort to inform the community. Network members work with Fair Wisconsin to talk with voters at community events, meetings, concerts, and at voters’ doorsteps—one of the best places to have a personal conversation and find supporters and volunteers. And in November, the Action Networks will work to mobilize their communities to get out and vote No on the ban.

Over the course of the campaign, we will share stories of the victories large and small in each community. To join your local Action Network, check our Events Calendar and our Action Network page.
