Appleton Door Canvass

This weekend we canvassed in several regions of the state including Kenosha, Green Bay, Appleton, Stevens Point, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire.

Lindsey was with the group in Appleton and took these few photos. Even in this conservative area of the state, more than half of the people we talked to were on our side, with roughly a quarter undecided.

When I get the chance I plan to post my detailed impressions of the 4/29 Green Bay canvass on my Reality Check blog: Canvass results there - 45% oppose the ban; 31% support and 25% undecided. Green Bay is even more conservative than Appleton IMHO.

Also check out Quest's latest sum-up of the last two weeks' battle against the ban finally online (sick computer last week) at: http://www.quest-online.com/NewFiles/Quest_Newsroom_33.html

This is great news, guys. It sounds like we really have a chance to beat this thing. Keep up the excellent work!

Of the route that I went on in Kenosha 70% supported the ban (60% strongly supported it.), and 30% were undecided. Of course, this was one of the most liberal areas of Kenosha, but nonetheless, it was a positive experience. I know other people had different results than me, but as long as people continue to be informed and inform their friends, things are looking up.

I went door-to-door for the first time ever in Stevens Point over the weekend. Since we had very few participants we decided to hit the more liberal areas. I had a great time talking to people and am really looking forward to doingt it again. The few people I actually got to talk to opposed the ban! I even recieved some cash donations for Fair Wisconsin!
