This is a Grassroots Campaign

We announced that Fair Wisconsin now has 72 volunteer county coordinators--that means as of today, 181 days before election day, we have lead volunteers in every county of our state. This is one of the largest grassroots voter mobilization efforts in Wisconsin history.

Few campaigns in the history of Wisconsin politics have been able to claim this accomplishment in October, let alone May of an election year.

Already we have over 6,000 active volunteers across Wisconsin. These volunteers live in every corner of Wisconsin are made up of friends talking to friends, neighbors talking to neighbors, church leaders organizing in their congregations, labor union members, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Independents and citizens from all walks of life. But they have one thing in common: they are highly motivated and passionate about defeating the ban and keeping discrimination out of our constitution.

These volunteers are knocking on doors this month in places like Superior, Ashland, Eau Claire, Dodgeville, La Crosse, Wausau, Appleton, Green Bay, Madison, Janesville, Milwaukee, Tomah, Oshkosh, Lake Mills and all points in between.

This is an incredible start, but to defeat the ban we need to talk to thousands more voters at their doorsteps every weekend from now until November. More than ever, I need each and every one of you to help spread our message to every corner of Wisconsin.

Running a winning campaign is not cheap or easy. I hope you will consider joining us in an upcoming door canvass, or making a donation to help fund these outreach efforts through November.

We will win in November. And when we do, you will know that you helped make history in Wisconsin.

You forgot to mention the Green Party in your laundry list of groups and supporters, I'm sure it was just an oversight, right?

Members of the Green Party have most definitely been great allies and volunteers. They are no doubt working hard all over the state to defeat the ban.

Then, Fair Wisconsin should be acknowledging those efforts along with every other Wisconsin Political Party.

We've been working really hard to bring on board less likely allies--and show people that even if you're not liberal or progressive, you can join us.

But you're absolutely right we need to do a better job of acknowledging allies--like the Greens--who have steadfastly stood with us from the beginning. We'll work on it, and I hope you'll stick with us.
