Another Republican Voice for "No"

Jonathan Barry has a long resume. He's served on the Dane County Board, the State Assembly, is a former Dane County Executive, and has served for over 12 years on the UW System Board of Regents. Since 1970 he has owned and operated a family farm near Mt. Horeb, and today he is the Development Director for Madison's Operation Fresh Start.

He's also a Republican and is voting "No" on the ban. Why?
As a Republican, I feel it an error to in any way discourage long-term committed relationships. If we're not ready to support stability and individual rights and preferences, what do we represent?
You can read more about his stance on the civil unions and marriage ban and read why other Republicans will be voting "No" this November.

I've been hearing more and more stories of Republicans voting "no." However, I have not heard of very many Democrats voting "yes." Maybe this amendment is just a bad idea for everyone.
