Carthage College Kicks Off

Last night in Kenosha, Students for a Fair Wisconsin kicked off their efforts at Carthage College with two very successful meetings. Carthage is a private college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; about 2,000 full-time students attend.

Very Sad,
Such a great school. A pity. I thought Carthage supported what is right in God's eyes. Many Evangelical Christians might think twice about sending their kids to the school. I could see these kind of meetings at a public school, but not at a fine establishment as Carthage. Who allowed this meeting to happen anyways?

Also a proud alumni. Glad to see Carthage is following Jesus' reminder about what is the most important commandment - Love your neighbor. There is enough hate out there.

Anonymous, who posted at 8:34pm – please go to the ELCA Web site -- http://www.milwaukeesynod.org/faithfuljourney.htm -- to read the full text which starts out with “The 2005 Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) affirmed pastoral care for all people including people who are gay or lesbian, and continued to encourage the church to welcome gay and lesbian people into its life.” I personally think that these kids at Carthage are true leaders!!!
