Next Saturday in Madison: Ed Thompson Talk
The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin is sponsoring a talk by Ed Thompson in Madison next Saturday, September 9. His focus will be the civil unions and marriage ban.
Thompson has spoken out often against the ban, and the Libertarians have been educating their members about it for several months.

Attention Fellow Freedom Fighters!!
The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin will sponsor “Focus on Freedom -- Keeping Government out of our Personal Lives,” which will include two speakers on the upcoming civil unions and marriage amendment. Libertarians running for public office this November are also welcome to speak.
Ed Thompson, current Tomah City Council member, former Tomah Mayor, and 2002 Libertarian candidate for governor, will present his views on the upcoming amendment from a human rights perspective.
Cory McGuire, a motivational speaker who is President of Dale Carnegie training in the city of Milwaukee and the state of Nevada, will speak from a personal and business viewpoint.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 9, at the Coliseum Bar and Banquet Facility, 232 Olin Ave., Madison. Snacks will be served during the cocktail hour, from 5 to 6 pm. There will be a cash bar open during the entire event. Cost is $10 per person.
